4 Days Eastern Black Sea Tour - Trabzon, Uzungol, Rize, Camlıhemsin, Ayder

Extraordinary architecture, tea plantations, hazelnut orchards, high mountains and rivers crashing through steep gorges welcome you on our exclusive Eastern Black Sea tour. You will discover the different tones of greeneries in Black Sea. You will surprise how people manage to build houses up on the mountains and hills. The poeple are really hardworking and humorous.

Black Sea people are very humorous, actually their way of life is like a joke for another person who is not from Black Sea region. Trabzon is a very typical Anatolian town, the local people look so energitic and you will surprise how they are able to climb up to the hill eventhough his or her late age.

Day 1-Trabzon - Sumela Monastery and Karaca Cave Tour

We pick you up at your hotel early in the morning and take you to Istanbul airport for your flight to Trabzon. You will be met at the airport then our Black Sea Tour starts.

Sumela Monastery is one of Turkey's most astonishing landmarks, this ancient monastery clings to the side of a mountain in Altindere National Park. It has been a place of pilgrimage since it was founded in the 4th century and even today pilgrims arrive from Greece and Russia.

Karaca Cave, 1,550 metres above sea level, this geological wonder has a multitude of stalactites, stalacmites and travertines in different shapes and colours. You will enjoy marvellous views from here.

Overnight stay in Trabzon.

Day 2-Trabzon and Uzungol ( B )

After breakfast at your hotel we will drive to Uzungol and on our way we will visit a Tea Factory and horse Farm then we will reach to Uzungol.

Uzungol is a hidden paradise in the Pontic Alps. Explore the village, hike around the lake, we will give some free time then enjoy your time in Uzungol, if you like you may walk down till the waterfalls. End of the day we will drive back to Trabzon and overnight in Trabzon.

Day 3-Rize, Fırtına Valley, Camlihemsin, Ayder ( B )

Rize is the hometown of tea and we visit some tea groves and kiwi orchards while enjoying a panoramic view of the area.

Camlihemsin, we drive up through the clouds to these beautiful rugged mountains that are watered by the Firtina River, which rushes down to the shores of the Black Sea.

Firtina Valley is surrounded by the Kackar Mountains and here you will see many waterfalls, rushing rivers, ancient stone bridges and the beauty of Ayder.

Goksu Waterfall is the highest in an area full of magnificent waterwalls and turbulent rivers. You will also visit Zil Castle, a Medieval fortress built on a high cliff overlooking the Firtina River. In the evening we will drive back to Trabzon and overnight in Trabzon.

Day 4- Trabzon City Tour ( B )

Breakfast at the hotel then depart for St. Sophia Church/Mosque, a 13th century church and see its extraordinary collections of Byzantine frescoes, depart for Gulbahar Hatun Mosque, Castle and Ataturk’s Mansion (a picturesque hillside retreat), visit Ortahisar Mosque (a Comneni cathedral in the old town). In the afternoon we will explore the cobbled stone streets of Trabzon. Drive to Boztepe; enjoy your tea from samovar with the panoramic view of the city. We will visit Lake Sera.

At the end of the tour, transfer to Trabzon for a flight to Istanbul, where we take you to your hotel.
