7 Days Tour Istanbul - Gallipoli-Troy-Ephesus-Pamukkale
Day 1-Istanbul
Upon arrival at Istanbul Ataturk Airport or Sabiha Gokcen Airport our staff will meet you at the airport and free time to explore the city. Overnight in Istanbul.
Day 2-Istanbul - Walking City Tour ( B / L )
After breakfast we will pick you up from your hotel and a full day Istanbul City tour will start from historical peninsula with Hagia Sophia a masterpiece with a synthesis of the Occident and the Orient, with a unique example of architectural applications and is considered to be the one and only example in this respect. Blue Mosque, is the only mosque built with six minarets . It is also known as ''Blue Mosque'' owing to the glazed tiles decorating its interior. Hippodrome, the scene of ancient chariot races and sporting events, the ancient Hippodrome, with its four monuments ( the German Fountain of Wilhelm II , the Obelisk of Theodosius, the bronze Serpentine Column and the Column of Constantine ) lies next to the Blue Mosque. Topkapı Palace, The palace was the home for all the Sultans until the reign of Abdulmecid I .
Lunch at a nice local restaurant that serves delicious Anatolian foods.
Little Hagia Sophia Mosque was formerly the Church of Sergius and Baccus. You may see fine examples of early Byzantine art.
Overnight in Istanbul .
Day 3: Istanbul to Gallipoli ( L )
You will be picked up from your hotel early in morning at 06:30 am and drive to Gallipoli along the northern shores of the Marmara Sea and as soon as we arrive in Gallipoli, we will have a break for lunch.
Gallipoli and The Dardanelles after our lunch we will stop to visit Gallipoli, a place of fierce WW I fighting between Allied forces and the Turks. At ANZAC Cove thousands lost their lives in one fateful dawn morning. We will also see other famous battle sites of World War I in this area, such as Lone Pine and Chunuk Bair. From here we will take a ferry to cross the Dardanelles.
Canakkale is our final destination for today and we will spend the evening. After dinner, you might want to stroll the harbour walk and experience the local culture.
Overnight in Canakkale.
Day 4: Troy ( B / L )
After you have your breakfast at your hotel, we will pick you up for our guided Troy Tour, step back in time as we visit Troy, home of the famed Trojan Horse and then tour the magnificent acropolis of Pergamum. Its impressive temples and library made Pergamum a renowned cultural and political centre in its time.
Troy is the ancient site written about by Homer in the Iliad. It dates back as far as 3000 BC and has been the site of nine different cities through the thousands of years it has existed. As you enter the site a large wooden Trojan horse dominates your view. You will definitely want to climb up and get your picture taken.
At the end of the tour we will take a bus to Kusadası. Overnight in Kusadası.
Day 5: Ephesus ( B / L )
After breakfast at your hotel in Kusadası you will be picked up from your hotel for a full day guided tour of Ephesus & The House of Virgin Mary. First you will visit The Temple of Artemis, which once was one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world. Then you will visit the world famous ancient Greco-Roman City of Ephesus, it is one of the the best preserved examples of the world. After visiting this impressive site, you will have a lunch break. After lunch, you will visit The House of Virgin Mary, where it is believed she spent her last days of her live. This is a holy place for both Christians and Muslims. After the tour transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Kusadası.
Day 6: Pamukkale ( B / L )
After you have your breakfast at your hotel in Kusadası we will pick you up from your hotel and drive to Pamukkale.
Pamukkale, means 'Cotton Castle', is a natural, historical site and attraction center both for locals and foreigners. Pamukkale is also the home for the UNESCO World Heritage - listed ruins of the ancient city of Hierapolis as well as the world famous white travertines, calcium terraces. It is also known as a major mineral - bath spa because of its natural pools and white travertine shaped pools, healing power of God, filled by hot calcium water springs from the ground which cascade over the travertines. It is also known as a great treatment center for different diseases, healing power of God.
Hierapolis, an ancient Hellenic and Roman city, magnificently preserved up today. Hierapolis includes a large theatre, the temple of Apollo and the Necropolis, one of the best preserved samples in Turkey with 1200 tombs including Roman Sarcophagi, burial chambers, temples to the dead and complete burial grounds from early Christian times.
At the end of the tour, you will be transfered to Izmir or Denizli airports and late evening arrival to Istanbul, transfer to your hotel and overnight in Istanbul .
Day 7 - Istanbul ( B )
After breakfast at your hotel , check out before 12.00 , depending on your international flight we transfer you to the airport . Our tour concludes in here and we say good bye to our new friends .
