After breakfast at your hotel we start our day on the sea of Marmara, cruising round these beautiful unspoiled islands. On our way to Buyukada, the largest island, we pass four smaller ones. All of them are famous for their mild climate, lush vegetation and ornate Ottoman architecture. They take their name from the Ottoman princes' who used the islands as a summer retreat. Interestingly, the Russian revolutionary Trotsky spent four years on Büyükada after escaping from the USSR in 1929.
 
Cars are forbidden on the islands, so on Buyukada you will enjoy a charming horse and carriage tour. You will feel as if you have stepped back into a bygone era, to a more leisured and gracious time, almost expecting elegant 19th century ladies and gentlemen to come strolling towards you along the waterfront as they take their afternoon promenade. After enjoying lunch at a seaside fish restaurant, you will have time for swimming and sunbathing before we return to Istanbul in the evening and transfer you to your hotel.
